About WomenSCORE

WomenSCORE is a movement that advocates and strengthens minority women in business. Our mission is to create economic growth and opportunity conditions for all women of color to thrive. Through eight (8) states within the Delta region, WomenSCORE works to drive social and economic inclusion, faith to do business in diverse industries, and strengthen the impact these minority entrepreneurs and businesses have on their communities.

Our Strategic Goals

“Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path” (Proverbs 2:9)

Knowledge paired with wisdom, equity, and resilience. These concepts drive the work we do at WomenSCORE and are critical to the development and advancement of underrepresented minority women (UMW) in business and the overall mission of how we serve others.

Our overarching goal: Inspire, Stretch, and Equip Women of Color in Business

At WomenSCORE, our working definition of an underrepresented minority woman (UMW) is someone whose racial or ethnic makeup is from one of the following:

  • African American / Black

  • Asian: Filipino, Hmong*, or Vietnamese

  • Hispanic / Latinx

  • Native American / Alaskan Native

  • Native Hawaiian / Other Pacific Islander

  • Two or more races, when one or more are from the preceding racial and ethnic categories in this list.

Over the next decade, WomenSCORE will connect more than 11,000 UMW entrepreneurs and business owners to capital at every stage of business, establish connections to expertise and guidance that help overcome obstacles, and provide access to new customers to promote sustainable growth.
